Normalized Difference Vegetation Index

Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, NDVI-a simple quantitative indicator of the amount of photosynthetically active biomass. One of the most common and used indices for solving problems using quantitative estimates of vegetation cover. Calculated by the following formula: NDVI = (NIR-VIS) / (NIR + VIS) Where, Near IR (NIR) - reflection in the near infrared spectrum VIS - reflection in the visible region of the spectrum.
